Today’s real wedding brought to us by Erin Johnson Photography is a really unique blend of quirky and refined, we just had to share it! Here is what the lovely bride has to say about their unconventional ceremony:
It was just so much fun! Jon and I spent the months leading up to the wedding brainstorming how to make our ceremony engaging and memorable. We worked with our officiant on a very unconventional structure that involved audience participation and broke with a number of what we thought were unnecessary traditions.
See more after the cut!
Rather than having the standard processional, we started our ceremony with Jon and me standing at the top of staircases on opposite sides of the amphitheater; we only got to advance toward the stage when the audience was able to correctly answer true/false questions about us.
It was a neat way for our relatives to get to know the bride and groom a bit better. Once we were on stage, we stood facing the audience while the officiant read some words of advice from our parents. We ended it by sharing our own vows with each other.
Congratulations Charlotte & Jon and thank you Erin for sharing! For more information about Erin Johnson Photography, please visit her website.
