Today’s real wedding comes to us from Rebecca Ellison Photography based in Fort Worth, Texas. Here is what Kacy, the lovely bride, has to say about the big day:
I’m sitting in my salon watching and waiting to see everything come together on my wedding day not realizing how much myself and my soon to be husband Parker are really loved….. It’s surreal, I felt like I was in a dream all day.
See more after the cut!
I’ve been dreaming of this all my life and its hours away, I’m about to marry the man of my dreams. I know everyone says that but he is. He is one of the sweetest men I have ever known.
So I get to the church and I’m getting my makeup done and my belly is full of butterflies; all I want is to see him. I had my photographer take a picture of Parker on one side of the door and myself on the other. We couldn’t see each other but we got to hold hands.
So those butterflies that I was feeling a little bit ago are gone. The second that I felt his hand everything in me went calm right then and there I knew I was marring my best friend, my partner, my light, my everything.
We start the ceremony, ” PHEWWWW,” I’m looking at my dad and I say “it’s happening daddy”, and he looks at me and says “Are you ready for this amazing ride?” I am I am I am. The door opens I can’t see anyone but Parker standing up there.
I don’t hear the song that is playing I don’t see anyone that came to the wedding. All I see is him looking right back at me and I knew I was in heaven. I don’t think that I could have asked for anything better. I love my husband so much and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
I also did a lot of things for a very dear friend of mine Lilly Duncan, she was killed by a drunk driver 2 1/2 years ago. She was one of my best friends and our daughters were also best friends. I wanted to honor Lilly and had her all over my wedding, She was the greeter for the gift table, there was a picture of her and I on the last birthday party she got to spend with me.
I also had my flower girl wear a pair of angel wings that had her name on them. I even made all my flowers lilies. Her daughter Dyrah was one of my junior bridesmaids which felt like Lilly was truly there.
There was also I very important thing that happened with Lilly, Becca my photographer took me to the Stanley hotel to do my bridal pictures and in the middle of us doing the pictures she asks if we can go shoot at this lake, I said sure what is it called and she says Lilly lake.
I almost start crying, I start to tell the story to her about my friend Lilly and she tells me that her husband was very good friends with her. Not knowing that both of us were at her service 2 years ago and never meet.
I have to say that things pull you together in different ways and it’s great to meet wonderful and amazing people like I have.
I believe that this past year has been one of the best years of my life and I thank everyone that was able to make it happen, I wish I could go on forever about everything that went on with the wedding but we may have a book on our hands. True love is amazing….
