Today’s real wedding comes to us from stationery designer Meghan Shaughnessy of MLShaughnessy Designs, LLC based in North Brunswick, NJ. Here’s what Nicole, the lovely bride had to say about the wedding:

While planning our wedding, we went the traditional, elegant route incorporating spring colors. Our main focus was having a blast with our family and friends. We knew no matter what that it would be the best day of our lives. We were blessed with a gorgeous day that truly exceeded our expectations! The energy was high, our love for each other was evident, and we couldn’t have asked for more. It was really important to us to honor our grandparents on our wedding day.

See more after the cut!

Eric’s elderly grandmother lives in Florida and unfortunately was advised by her doctor not to make the trip.We wanted her to still feel like a special part of our day, so we made a special sign for her that we were photographed holding and had it framed and sent to her. I was able to have a short but special dance with my elderly grandfather (there were very few dry eyes in the house) and it was a moment I will never forget! For our grandparents who are no longer with us, we had a dedication to them in our ceremony program and at the reception. We also made a donation on behalf of our guests in honor of my grandmother to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Our favorite added touch to our wedding was having a live event painter. Our guests could not get over how talented she was and enjoyed watching her paint throughout the night. Our painting turned out absolutely gorgeous and looks so beautiful hanging in our living room. It is one of a kind and something that we will treasure forever!”

And here’s what Meghan has to say about the invitations she designed: “The invitations were a pocket fold design in a classic color scheme of black metallic and ivory linen card stock with a hint of blush metallic. They also featured the couple’s interlocking monogram, three insert cards, and a unique quote used on the outside seal that read, “The best is yet to come”-my favorite part of these invitations because, after all, the best is yet to come after tying the knot!”

Congratulations Nicole & Eric and thank you Meghan for sharing! For more about MLShaughnessy Designs, LLC, please visit her WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to her website.
