For your Friday we’re bringing you this romantic Dallas garden shoot by Refined Romance Events! A bit about the shoot:
People say that opposites attract right? Well, picture this, the hustle and bustle of downtown city life vs. the serenity and peace of a beautiful garden. Put these two scenes together and they create a perfect counterpart to each other.
See the whole set after the cut!
The Nasher Sculpture Center served this exact purpose for this styled shoot. We wanted the modern edge of a downtown wedding but to keep it soft enough to convey an easy-loving look. With the trendy rose gold accents, navy, and pastels colors as our base, we loved dreaming up different aspects that would take our shoot to another level.
To help accomplish this, we kept the popular phrase “opposites attract” in mind as we started planning other aspects of the shoot. Starting with an upgrade of the traditional wedding dress, we went with a blush tone on the bride. Then, we took on the challenge of muting the “rustic” look of a farm table by pairing it with ghost chairs. To top it all off, HD Liquid Catering and Haywood Cotton Candy worked together to concoct a cotton candy cocktail that brought a whimsical touch to the overall look.
Some fun aspects that you would never know just by looking through the pictures are that the small pendants on the blue cocktail glasses are the bartender’s great grandmothers earrings and the flowers on the cake were handmade out of edible paper by the cake baker, Crystal with XO Cakery! Our goal was to create a romantic downtown garden look and I feel that was accomplished thanks to these amazing vendors and their creative minds.
