This fun-filled rustic wedding, brought to us by Jaquilyn Shumate Photography, is brimming with delightful details that embrace the local landscape from the lavender in the bouquets to the berries on the shortcake! Here’s May, Sarah and Paul’s wedding planner from The Wedding Haven, to tell us more:
Sarah and Paul decided that they wanted to have an intimate wedding with some of their closest family and friends at the Lake Crescent Lodge which is located within the Olympic National Park in Seattle. The venue is breath-taking; it ooks out on a hemlock- and fir-surrounded lake, with spectacular sunsets. Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or exploring for a week, the lodge quickly becomes your home away from home.
See more after the cut!
We traveled all the way from Dubai to share in Sarah and Paul’s special day, and boy was it worth it! Nature was all the decor that was needed. The venue was located steps away from the crystal clear waters of Lake Crescent, and minutes away from the endless forests which added to the serene sentiment of their wedding. Everything was spot on, from the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, to the reception centerpieces.
What I loved about their wedding was the fact that Sarah and Paul focused on their love, rather than the materialistic elements that many couples can get sucked into. You could literally ‘feel’ the love that they share.
Following the ceremony, Sarah and Paul joined together with their friends and family to celebrate with dinner and dancing! As the night came to an end, everyone decided to head down to the lake, campfire, and roast some marshmallows under the stars. There was incredible light, incredible people, and an incredible love to be shared. What a beautiful day it was indeed!
Congratulations Sarah & Paul and thank you Jaquilyn for sharing! What do you think about today’s real wedding? Let us know in the comments below!
