Today’s guest post comes to us from Leah Wafful, CEO of Bronze515 Custom Airbrush Tanning, based in Des Moines, Iowa. Enjoy!
Your wedding day should be ALL about you. Everything should be flawless. From your makeup, hair, dress, to your perfectly BRONZED skin. If you haven’t experienced an airbrush tan yet, I suggest doing so! It’s 2016 and tanning beds are so 1995. An airbrush tan is the perfect accessory to your big day. Let’s face it, who has time to tan in a tanning bed? With more research and statistics the last several years regarding melanoma, people are hesitant. Let’s make sure you are understanding that I am not referring to a booth tan, which often times are quite disappointing. I mean an airbrush tan done by a certified technician who understands the process, specific skin types, and how to fully prep you for your session and offer you guidance on how to properly take of your tan afterwards.

So many people are leery of airbrush tans because they are afraid of being “orange or streaky”. I think that is the biggest misconception. I can tell you this, people turn orange because of inexpensive ingredient that the solution is being made with and also another large factor is an untrained technician who applies too dark of a color on to light of skin, among many other things. Look for a product that is made within the USA and has natural ingredients. Don’t just go to anyone. Go to a professional who has been properly trained, trust me, you won’t regret it! Do your research.
At Bronze515 we recommend a practice airbrush tan be done beforehand to see what colors work best for you. This is the consultation process. A second airbrush tan should be performed 2-3 days prior to wedding day. Our gluten free, vegan, eco certified products produce an amazing color that will last anywhere from 5-10 days, depending on your skin type and how well you take care of your tan. Not only do we prep the bride for the best airbrush tan of her life but also her girls! Can’t forget about the groom and his groomsmen.
We offer several packages and one that allows you to rent out our studio. We provide the wine, of course! A good technician will provide you with take home tips to ensure you are glowing for your wedding day and they also should be readily available should you have questions. We offer many more tips online at Bronze515.com. So my only question for you is….ARE YOU READY TO BE BRONZE? Our philosophy at Bronze515 is Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Be Bronze.
