It may be the start of spring, but my hands down favorite March submission was a wintry real wedding amidst one of the biggest snowstorms of the season! Worth freezing your butt off for? You be the judge. We’ve also got a delectable berry themed styled shoot and neutral chic wedding with pops of color for you to swoon over! But first, let’s get to know a few of our lovely photographers (one of which is a Two Bright Lights 2015 Editors’ Choice Award Winner – *hi5*) and check out a handful of our top stationery designs from last month.
Spring into March’s best:

What tips or advice can you give to couples to help them on their wedding day?
The simplest piece of advice I can give is to keep everything at one location. It can’t always work, but if it is possible to choose a venue that can host your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, it eliminates so much stress! Not only does it make it easier for your guests, but now you do not have to worry about traffic or travel concerns. Especially in NYC, you never know if you might have to travel across town and get stuck because of a marathon, construction, or even 5,000 people doing yoga.
Limiting your day to one venue also gives you more time to breathe and relax in between all the events, and gives you more time for photos. If you had to choose to spend an hour driving across a bridge or an hour taking more awesome, beautiful photos–the choice is simple!

What is your favorite part of the wedding day to capture?
I have two! Bridal Prep and Portraits. I really love the beginning of the day when the excitement just builds and builds! It really adds to the whole day to be able to look back and see the day unfold starting from the beginning. I also love portraits and feel like this is the time you can be the most creative. I’ve been lucky to have such amazing clients who are down for anything!

What is your favorite venue and why?
Our favorite weddings are small weddings with just a few people in a lovely natural location such as the mountains, on the lake, in the family’s back yard, or a waterfall.

Destination Wedding Invitation Suite: Gazette by Hello Tenfold (Durham, NC)
This suite, Gazette, is actually not brand new, but it’s finally getting the photo love it deserves! For this new release I expanded the cards offered and made some other small design updates and additions. I’m thrilled with how it photographed, and loved the stylist’s natural/beachy take. This one is designed to cater to destination weddings, with a vintage map featured on the envelope liner and save the date that changes depending on the wedding location.
Beach Map Wedding Invitation Suite by Lovely Day Atelier (Rochester, NY)
Megan and Kevin’s beach wedding in Marco Island, Florida was a gorgeous and intimate affair. They came to me looking for custom invitations to capture the spirit of their event – and with three things in mind, green and blue colors, a square invitation and a natural, textural paper. We chose a hemp paper because its eco-friendly and has a nice texture and soft color, perfect for a beach wedding. The lush colored maps full of greens and blues are of the beaches and islands in and around the couple’s wedding and honeymoon locations. And the light green outer and emerald green inner envelopes with calligraphy to match the invitations perfectly complete the suite.

Neutral Chic Wedding with Pops of Color by A Blissful Soirée (Tustin, CA)
Vivian and Spencer were married on November 15, 2014 in Southern California at Marbella Country Club. These two lovebirds grew up in two separate worlds. Vivian grew up in sunny SoCal while Spencer grew up in the South in Alabama. His hospitable charm was what won over Vivian’s heart.

Mountain Top Winter Wedding Filled with Adventure by Summit Soiree (Truckee, CA)
Jaime and Scott wanted an adventurous winter wedding and that’s exactly what they got. Their wedding was held on the mountain top of Northstar Ski Resort. Guests took two gondolas to get there and on the morning of the wedding we got hit with the biggest snowstorm of the season. That didn’t stop Jaime and Scott though they still wanted to proceed as planned and didn’t skip a beat. We were prepared to keep the guests as comfortable and warm as possible. We offered hot cocoa, and white furry blankets during the standing outdoor mountain top ceremony.

Delectable Berry Themed Styled Shoot by Jessica Wonders, LLC (Saint Paul, MN)
This is a wedding inspiration photo shoot. We used blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries throughout the design. Not only did we incorporate actual berries in the desserts, we used the colors in the attire, stationary, and décor as well.
Congratulations and thank YOU for being a part of the WeddingLovely community!
