Today’s lovely real wedding comes to us from wedding planner (and bride!) Sarah Basch of Without A Hitch, Boston, MA! Here’s Sarah to tell us more:

I started Without A Hitch in 2013 after seeing a niche that wasn’t being filled – competent day-of coordination services for couples that want to be hands-on in the planning process.  We quickly grew from 9 weddings the first year to more than 40 this year. We work with couples all over New England, but mostly in the greater Boston area, who have a distinct vision and want help in executing it.

Nelson and I have been friends since we met each other in high school (almost 15 years!). We spent summers at the beach together, went to high school dances with the same group of friends (but not with each other), and picked on each other during school field trips and in the school hallways. Nelson and I stayed in touch throughout the years after high school. Nelson joined the Army and I went off to college, but we stayed in touch.

Travel Themed DIY Wedding (7)

Travel Themed DIY Wedding (17)

This wonderful DIY comes to us from Kristen Nicole Photography, based in Toledo, OH! Here’s Kristen to tell us more:

Rosanna and Paul’s wedding was travel-themed, based on all of the places they had visited over the years and also while dating. Almost all of their elements were DIY – cake topper’s made out of wood in the shape of the state each of them is from, boarding pass table cards for guests, luggage tags made out of maps for guests to write notes to the couple. What also made the wedding special were the trays of pastries as centerpieces, made by Rosanna’s father, who is a baker from Italy. After years of providing other brides and families with treats for their events, he was able to showcase his creations at his daughter’s wedding.
