Altar Ego Weddings was blessed to work with Lauren and Matt, one of the sweetest couple’s we’ve ever served. They lit up when they were together. Check out some of the photos by Dustin Finkelstein Photography to see for yourself! We loved working with Lauren to create a simple, garden-style design. We tapped Kelli at Sweetwater Stems to create a beautiful red rose and greenery backdrop on the trellis at Ma Maison.

FAVORITES-2016-06-04AimeeandMattWedding32182-80

A gorgeous garden in full bloom sets the stage for today’s lovely real wedding, brought to us by Laura Lee Photography, based in Warwick, NY! Here’s Laura to tell us more:

Aimee and Matt were married in June 2016 at FEAST at Round Hill Mansion in Washingtonville, NY. They were surrounded by an incredible wedding party made up of cherished and childhood friends, their wonderfully supportive and loving families, countless friends, neighbors, joy and laughter. Aimee looked beautiful in her BHLDN gown and Matt had literally the best expression when they were pronounced husband and wife. I cried five times at this wedding, not just because it was a beautiful celebration, but also the honor and presence of love’s longevity.

This elegant and modern garden wedding comes to us from Sarah Chancey of Chancey Charm, based in Atlanta, Georgia! Here’s Sarah to tell us more:

This wedding was definitely a favorite for me. Our clients were absolutely two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and their families were so kind, which made the process easy and fun. The bride chose a gorgeous beaded gown from Joan Pillow Bridal that I’m still in love with and the groom wore a custom tux, making them a dashing pair. The bride carried a bouquet of cascading orchids, just as her mother did, which was a nice personal touch.

Nelson and I have been friends since we met each other in high school (almost 15 years!). We spent summers at the beach together, went to high school dances with the same group of friends (but not with each other), and picked on each other during school field trips and in the school hallways. Nelson and I stayed in touch throughout the years after high school. Nelson joined the Army and I went off to college, but we stayed in touch.

We met in 2012 while I was visiting home for a few days. We were at a mutual friends when I saw him and immediately felt an overwhelming attraction. I did what I could to be near him or talk to anyone that was talking to him. What I didn’t realize is that he felt the same. After one very minimal but pleasant conversation I was off again back to NYC with this handsome man now in my past; or so I thought.

1940's Style Garden Wedding in Tampa, FL (14)

1940's Style Garden Wedding in Tampa, FL (14)

Camara and Russell’s elegant vintage style estate wedding comes to us from Hugo Castro of Eternal Sight Photography. Here’s more about the couple’s love story and their big day from the lovely bride herself:

The proposal happened at Curtis Hixon park in downtown Tampa, across from University of Tampa. Russell surprised me and made me think we were just going out for a walk and dinner downtown. It was beautiful. We wanted the wedding to resemble a 1940’s garden party in the evening. We wanted it to feel like a party that Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald might have gone to back in the day. Our colors were very simple but elegant. We used green, black, white, and peach.
