Today’s wedding photographer interview is with Alba of Lonia Photography, based in Kyle, Texas! Enjoy:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I am from Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. I came to Texas in December 2014, and I started Lonia Photography in mid-2015. The word “Lonia” comes from the name of my home region, Catalonia. It is a part of Spain, in the northeast of the country. I am an architectural engineer by training; I also love to play music and sing. I love perspective, composition, and art.

Lonia Photography is my dream. I love to create unique images for people. The best feeling comes when I capture them naturally. If I can connect with them, make them feel at home and relaxed, then I can look for the best perspective to shoot their best moments.

I love people and their stories; the places we go and those big moments, like weddings. My clients tell me that they like me because of my eye, I am easy to work with, and they feel calm around me, especially on their big day when they have a lot of stress already! I like to listen to their stories first, to understand what their needs are and what they want; each client is different.
