Today’s wedding planner interview is with Robyn of Blue Skies Events Nola, based in New Orleans, Louisiana! Enjoy:
Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.
My name is Robyn Sedgebeer and I have been in the Hospitality industry for about 8 years. I started off my career working for the Walt Disney World company in Orlando. I work at the Contemporary Resort and also shadowed a couple weddings at the Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian. When I returned home I started working with a local wedding planner. I worked with that company for about a year and a half and then realized I need to finish school. I graduated with a Hospitality Degree. I then started working with a catering company. I thought to myself to become a great planner one must know all aspects in a wedding. I worked with the catering company for almost 3 years. In September on 2014 I decided it was time to start my own event planning company, so I did just that. I quickly got everything together and before I knew it Blue Skies Events Nola was an LLC. It has been my dream since I was a little girl to be a Wedding Planner and it is excited every day to be living that dream.
