Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

I’m British, I moved to New York in 2011, and I got married in Central Park. I’m mum to a two-year-old and a four-year-old and I run this business around their schedule. I love my two jobs of mother (full-time) and wedding planner (part-time).

5 Questions to Ask During a Wedding Venue Visit (4)

Visiting venues can be overwhelming, especially when you walk in and are totally overcome with that “this is the one!!” feeling. It’s easy to completely forget all of the questions you know you should ask (even if you’ve dutifully written them in your wedding planning notebook). While most of those questions are easy to email or call and ask, there are a few that are best asked on the spot. Allison from Davis Row compiled this list of questions best asked in person, including a few you may not have thought of.

Did you and bae get engaged recently? First, take at least a week to bask in the love and excitement. You have time! But, eventually, you’ll want to start choosing venues to visit. You can find tons of information about capacities, photos of ballrooms, and phone numbers for preferred florists all over venue websites, but there are so many more questions to ask. Schedule a visit (and make sure there’s space on your phone for video!) and bring these along.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

At the early age of 5 years old, I was in my first wedding. Creating a memorable experience at any event I could put my hands on. That was my goal.  My passion grew, my excitement and talent was innate. Today  I am creating complete events that match unique love stories, corporate missions, and social agendas. I prove that through a unique process that I bring all of my clients through. Before becoming a full time Event Planner at A La Mode, I spent two years studying Industrial Organizational Psychology focusing on Leadership, Motivation and People. Soon thereafter, I became certified in Event Planning.  I understand how to take charge, how to problem solve, and I am creative as well as efficient. One important factor about me is that I work well with people. When planning events for others as well as encountering potential clients.
