The current rustic wedding trend is a very freedom-loving style, but with the small bit of pompous luxury. The traditional rustic fashion emerged as part of the everyday garb of American gold miners in the 19th century. A few decades later, fashionable women from the 70s recalled it. And in 2009, the rustic style again returned triumphantly to the catwalks, remaining in the hearts of both fashionistas and wedding designers. Moreover, it remains relevant to the present day. We’re loving this gorgeous, rustic styled shoot, brought to us by Liv Lyszyk Photography, based in Grand Rapids, MI. Here’s Liv to tell us more:
I was so inspired by the look of Michigan Pines and wanted to create an LGBTQ shoot featuring a non binary couple. As a queer woman I often look for couples that I resonate with in publications. I haven’t found too many non binary people featured and I wanted to showcase Samantha and Brianna’s love. Drawing inspiration from vintage plaid blankets I chose a warm color scheme to go with the cozy vibes I wanted to capture.
Today’s styled shoot comes to us from Brittany Carmona-Holt, Co-Owner of Sculpted Films, LLC, based in Detroit, MI. We love the effortless rustic elegance and all the vintage details, but the best part is the couple’s story! Here’s Brittany to tell us more:
A couple of things that make this styled shoot so special are all the intricate details that were curated to make this shoot unique. The personalized craft cocktail, the choice to make the bride’s bouquet all greens, the incredible stamped invitation suite, the Juliet cap of clustered white tea roses, how each place setting was a uniquely curated piece of vintage china, etc.
This unique rustic styled shoot, brought to us by Brenda Pottinger of Pottinger Photography, features bright florals, golden light and a gorgeous blue gown! Here’s Brenda to tell us more:
Driving on the back roads of Kentucky I didn’t know quite what to expect to find as my destination across from the Ohio River. The moment I turned onto the tree lined driveway I knew that this was the kind of place that has southern charm and hospitality mixed with a quiet elegance of history.
