Today’s wedding stationer interview is with Vivian, the Founder and Creative Director of For the Love of Stationery based in Sydney, NSW. Enjoy!

How did you get started doing wedding invitations?

To be honest, I kind of fell into weddings. I didn’t have ANY intention of getting into the wedding industry as I’ve heard horror stories of bridezillas lol (Luckily I haven’t had any bad experience with that.. Ok maybe like a handful of brides who were really particular about their wedding invitations but other than that, most brides trust me with their work wholeheartedly!)

I got asked by my friends a few years ago to help them with their wedding stationery when I was doing freelance graphic design for small businesses at the time. After helping them with their weddings, I discovered my love for love (I know it sounds so cheesy lol). I realized that I really enjoyed being a small part of their special day & I would love to help more brides do the same.

*When brides order their photo wedding cards with me, a small proceed goes to help The A21 Campaign to rescue women from modern-day slavery.

Peony and Gold Foil Wedding Invitation Suite by Pocadot Invitations (2)

This sophisticated wedding invitation design comes to us from Rachelyn Halliday of Pocadot Invitations, based in Sydney, Australia! Here’s Rachelyn to tell us more:

Carissa (a close friend of mine) was the bride, and also a fellow graphic designer who loves elaborate designs, bright and contrasting colours and anything glamorous. The couple chose to have their wedding at one of Sydney’s glamorous venue, Dunbar House in Watsons Bay. I had the challenge of capturing this stylish and glamorous event into a physical, tangible form of an invitation that incorporated pink florals and gold accents!
