Devon and Jordan met in Philadelphia in the spring of 2015 on Hinge. Following their first date over coffee in West Philly, Jordan and Devon have traveled the world together (even visiting Jordan’s hometown of Auckland, New Zealand), enjoyed spending time down the shore on Long Beach Island with Devon’s family, attended rugby matches, explored the food scene of Philly and fallen in love.
This super sweet and stylish engagement shoot, brought to us by Zoomworx (Hyattsville, MD) incorporates a wonderful variety of striking backdrops and outfit changes! Here’s Kay, the groom to be, to tell us more:
We met in our church R.C.C.G Christ Chapel. She had newly joined the church, and since the first day I met her, I was struck by her beauty and natural calmness, but we had barely said a word to each other.

Real life stories happen everyday, unexpected situations that may change your lives forever. This sweet couple that are getting married in a couple of months have an amazing story and would love to share with us romantics. They ran into each other at the grocery store line in Philly, and made small talk. Omoleye had just relocated there, Justin’s home town. He told her about his amazing gym and than parted away as the line progressed. A few days later, Omoleye was out with a friend to pick someone up. As they arrived she recognized the name as the same gym Justin mentioned. Inside it just so happened Omoleye ran into Justin again! Justin asked Omoleye to join him out that weekend and the two enjoyed live jazz in the city. From that moment on the two were inseparable.

This surprise proposal took place in Columbus, OH. The couple took a stroll and overlooked a breathtaking waterfall, sharing a romantic moment with one another. Afterwards, they had a gorgeous view of the Columbus skyline, where Ezra dropped down to one knee to pop the question!

Valentines is coming and what is more romantic than a walk in Central Park in the snow? Samantha and Ben just got engaged during the holiday season and are in the midst of planning their NYC wedding coming up this October. Just after the blizzard of snow fell over Manhattan they grabbed their coats and enjoyed the beautiful snowy scenery.
This stylish, urban engagement shoot comes to us from Bryan Sargent Photography, based in New York, New York! Here’s Bryan to tell us more:
Marie and Pat wanted to really highlight different aspects of New York City for their engagement session. We started at the top… Top of the Rock, looking over all of Manhattan. Then it was up to Shakespeare Garden in Central Park to take advantage of the lovely flowers in bloom. Then it was south through the park, eventually coming across a man from Central Park Bubbles. After a little donation and some quick planning, we got some incredible shots through the massive bubbles. We ended the session back in their neighborhood downtown and at the place where these two lovebirds first met, Von Bar.
This fun, urban engagement shoot comes to us from Elyse Jankowski Photography, based in South Orange, New Jersey! Here’s Elyse to tell us more:
I’ve known Chris and Teresa for years, so when he proposed, I was beyond thrilled! My heart skipped another beat when they wanted their engagement session to be in NYC. We scheduled several hours to explore the famously photogenic city, hopping taxi cabs, getting romantic in the subway and visiting spots special to Chris and Teresa, like St. Marks Ale House and Strawberry Fields.
We’ve all got a little rock and roll in our blood – me as a former zine editor/concert promoter, Chris as George Harrison in Beatlemania Now, and Teresa as a blue-haired punk dreamboat Hot Topic manager. So, to make things even more fun, Chris picked out some classic rock photos to recreate, including The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan album cover on Jones Street.
While we were quite bummed that the Dakota was under renovation, thus preventing our John Lennon and Yoko Ono recreation in front of the building, we found plenty of other amazing spots to take advantage of. This was absolutely one of my favorite engagements, solidifying that adventure sessions are the best, and photo-taking is always greatly enhanced when you’re friends! Hope you enjoy :)
Congratulations Teresa & Chris and thank you Elyse for sharing! For more information about Elyse Jankowski Photography, please visit her website.
