This gorgeous apple themed styled shoot comes to us from wedding planner, Jena Flurer of Chancey Charm (Washington, DC). We love the rich jewel-toned color palette and the apple orchard is the perfect backdrop for a Fall engagement party! Here’s Jena to tell us more:
Fall offers a wide variety of bold and rich colors. Having the engagement party in the apple orchard offered a whimsy background. Due to the natural venue, it was important to make sure the décor did not blend in. The use of the farm table and crates complimented the natural feel the apple orchard provided. While the metallic accents, especially the use of copper and gold, added a nice pop in contrast to the apple orchard. The variety shades of reds, purples and blues made the table stand out. Good Earth Flowers provided florals that not only stood out, but also complimented the venue.
This gorgeous rustic, riverfront wedding comes to us from wedding planner, Brittany Collier of Chancey Charm Washington, DC! Here’s Brittany to tell us more:
While I didn’t help with the design of this wedding, I absolutely loved everything about working with Nia and Adam coordinating their wedding day. Nia is extremely detail orientated and she has amazing style! She envisioned an organic, personal and intimate wedding – and I think she achieved that in a gorgeous way that was so home grown and so them. From the cozy lounge seating area with pillows saying cute things like “love you more” to the warm ambiance of the string-light and lantern lit barn, every guest felt right at home and had a blast celebrating these two!
Designed Perfectly Events is a full service Wedding & Event planning company servicing the greater DC metro area and beyond. I was working in catering sales but started this company to be more involved and offer my creative ideas and strategic planning advice to my clients on a different level. What some people may not know about me is that I was actually born and raised in Germany. I am technically half German and half Greek although a lot of people think I am Asian due to my husband’s last name. I was only 19 years old when I took a leap of faith and moved to the US just 4 days after my high school graduation. I love the unknown and new beginnings and was very excited to see what life had in store for me. I am your typical German – practical, organized, stubborn at times yet very honest and direct. I have always had a love for planning events but I never thought I would make it my career. I feel absolutely blessed to call this my job as it certainly doesn’t feel like one. I am excited to get up and go to work each and every day.

This delightful styled shoot comes to us from Sarah Chancey of Chancey Charm. The shoot was designed by Chancy Charm’s Washington, DC lead planner Brittany Collier. Here’s Brittany to tell us more:
When designing this shoot, we wanted to highlight Virginia’s mountains and small town beauty. The Inn at Willow Grove has a southern-charm appeal that was perfect for this classic inspiration shoot. I knew the scenic atmosphere would create a great landscape for neutral tones with hints of gold and blush. I wanted to focus on pieces that compliment the venue, such as linen lounge furniture and a white distressed farm table. From the delicate blush bridesmaid dress to the lace detail on the wedding gown, I loved how we were able to tie together traditional elements with a modern feel. This Southern Living Hotel Collection venue is the perfect place for an elegant, whimsical wedding!
