Today’s lovely styled shoot brought to us by Something New for I Do is the perfect blend of whimsy and refinement! Here’s more about the shoot from the team at Something New for I Do:
Inspired by a palette of copper and pale pink, wedding planner and designer Lisa Formaro of The Sweet Trend dreamt up this wedding inspiration to compliment The Corner District’s vintage industrial vibe. We loved the juxtaposition of soft hues and wood + metal touches!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Sorry, couldn’t resist… really though, there’s nothing sweeter than a yummy dessert station at a wedding.
Well, now, you can say “yes” to the … ice cream? This week Blue Bell introduced a Bride’s Cake flavor, and re-introduced their 09′ Groom’s Cake flavor, sure to delight couples looking for an alternative to the traditional wedding cake.
What exactly is it? The Bride’s Cake is almond ice cream with white cake pieces surrounded by a rich amaretto cream cheese icing swirl, while the Groom’s Cake is chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces, chocolate-coated strawberry hearts plus swirls of strawberry sauce and chocolate icing.
While it’s certainly not uncommon to see a couple’s four-legged friend at their wedding (after all, they’re members of the family too, right?) you may be surprised to find that the bridesmaids’ bouquets have been swapped out for eight adorable puppies. Well, this Charlotte bridal party did exactly that and the Internet is going crazy over it. Cuteness overload! Not only did it make for some seriously sweet wedding photos, but it’s helping spread awareness to a cause close to bride’s heart – pet adoption. We’re loving it!
This week has certainly been a victory for all of you nonconformists and lovers of different out there. Join us in celebrating with this transgender bride who made history as the first to appear on the popular reality TV series Say Yes to The Dress. The LGBTQ community weren’t the only one’s celebrating this week, however, as one Tamil bride dared to step outside South East Asian traditions by rocking this saree with a slit! Whether you consider yourself an offbeat bride or are planning something out-of-the-box on your big day, be sure to share it with us in the comments below.
It’s all the craze right now. Inspired by the newly released adaptation of the Disney inspired fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast themed weddings and wedding ideas have been popping up all over the internet here, hereand here. This actually made me reminiscent of one particular styled shoot that was shared with us back in May 2014. Love it! So whether you’re planning a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding of your own or simply want to swoon over some creative weddings, we’ve got it all in this week’s Friday roundups + more.
Just fired your maid of honor? You’re not alone. It’s apparently common for friendships to be torn apart over wedding requests and certain tensions that can arise between girlfriends throughout the wedding planning process. One business, Bridesmaid for Hire, has recognized this void and is offering to help fill it with, well, your very own “professional bridesmaids” for rent and other offbeat requests. The cost? As little as $150 for coaching to up to $1,500 for a full-service package. So ladies, what’s the verdict? Would you consider it, especially if you had the option to keep it on the low? (They’ll even plan a backstory of how you met and create an alias!) Hah, crazy.
So you may have heard the recent news that you’re now able to get married at Taco Bell, but this week’s news might just top that. See that Taco Bell burrito wrapper above you? Well, what if we told you that one woman designed her wedding dress with them? Uhhh I’m not sure whether to be seriously concerned or seriously impressed. Yep, it’s a cheesy kind of Friday roundups!
There’s a saying that love like wine gets better with time. You’ll surely agree after reading this totally adorable recap of how one groom screwed up his honeymoon but is still in love (and loved back!) 68 years down the track. Phew! We’re glad these sweethearts were able to survive a bumpy start and wish all of the lovely couples in this week’s Friday roundups a stress-free honeymoon and long, happy marriage!
Yep, Friday roundups are back ~ there really is no better way to make sure you never miss a beat here at WeddingLovely! Friday roundups make sure you stay up to date with the latest trends, real weddings, vendor interviews, features and more from the past week, all in the one post…. And this week, our hot trend alert are these edible works of art! We’re totally swooning over these watercolor cakes and guarantee you will, too!
