Meet a Wedding Stationer in Winnipeg, MB: Empire Invites (4)

Today;s wedding stationer interview is with Jacquie Rudolf, Sales, Marketing & Design Extraordinaire at Empire Invites, based in Winnipeg, MB! Enjoy:

How did you get started doing wedding invitations?

My previous job was in the corporate world of Business Architecture. When my husband & I began family planning we hoped for the flexibility to always have one of us home with our kids during their early years. As my husband’s Winnipeg Wedding Photography business grew he began adding themed collections and destination wedding invitations to his list of services (with a background in graphic design, this made perfect sense!). I began lending a hand in customer service and designing proofs during busy times and when our son was born, I knew I had to be a work-at-home-mom and taking over Empire Invites enabled me to do that. Now, we have two beautiful children, our stationery business has grown leaps & bounds (we now provide stationery to couple’s all over the globe, although are proud to boast all our products are homemade with love in Canada!) and we offer, in my opinion, one of the largest selections of theme and destination wedding invitations around.

Today’s wedding calligrapher interview is with Maria Neufeld of Little Dove Calligraphy, based in Winnipeg, MB! Enjoy:

Tell us about your company and how you got started.

My parents owned a print shop when I was a kid, so I grew up in that world. I like to say my coloring sheets were gold foil and thick card stock. I’ve always been into fine art, especially oil painting, and when I picked up calligraphy in 2016 I started making wedding invitations using those two skills. I have an obsession with the highest quality papers, like handmade cotton rag, and little details like wax seals and silk ribbon.

This stylish wedding invitation design comes to us from husband/wife team, Brian & Jacquie Rudolf of Empire Invites, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada! Here’s Jacquie to tell us more:

This beautiful custom invitation suite was designed in an elegant gold and dark shale theme with cream accents and features photos from this happy couple’s engagement photo session on the front & back of the album cover.  The inside invitation is circular in shape, printed on pearl shimmer cardstock and resembles a miniature vinyl record.  This couple chose to add a matching accommodation card to help their guests’ book time away for this very special day at Monastery Beach, California. With an emphasis on fun, this suite perfectly portrays the creative, musical style of the Bride & Groom!
