What makes your business unique?
Our elevated position on the beautiful Scapegoat Hill offers unparalleled panoramic views that are perfect for creating stunning wedding photography. With our own helicopter pad, the venue also offers the opportunity to experience a uniquely spectacular entrance in these beautiful rural surrounds. We also pride ourselves on our exceptional team of staff, having twice been named finalists in the North of England Wedding Awards for our Outstanding Customer Service.
Do you target any particular niche?
We cater to many couples who are looking for a relaxed and friendly venue in a beautiful rural setting. Our all-inclusive wedding packages cater to couples who want the ease of having every detail of their wedding ceremony, reception and accommodation are taken care of in the same impressive location. We also offer exclusive use, which appeals to couples who want to experience all the privacy and personal service that sole use of the hotel affords.

What’s your favorite part of the job?
I love all aspects of my job, as there is nothing more enjoyable than helping two people to plan their wedding day. To know that you have been a part of such an important and memorable day in their lives is a real privilege and makes it all worthwhile.

How do you help couples customize their weddings?
From their initial viewing, through the planning and right up to their big day, our couples enjoy individual assistance and support from our dedicated wedding team. We take a personal approach and therefore welcome ideas for something a little bit different to compliment our usual packages, or the opportunity to create a completely bespoke package. We also have a fabulous chef who enjoys working with couples to plan a tailored wedding breakfast menu unique to them.
Do you have any funny stories about a past wedding or event?
My favourite wedding moment was the time a bride’s entrance song was Gold Digger by Kanye West – that tickled me a lot!
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I have learned to always support and encourage the couple to make time to relax and just enjoy the moment!
Any tips for brides on the hunt for a venue?
When choosing your wedding venue, don’t be afraid to be thorough and ask lots of questions. As well as getting those positive first impressions, it’s just as important to find out all the nitty-gritty details about the venue, so that all the elements can reflect who you are as a couple and what you enjoy doing.
