This lovely real wedding, brought to us by Brandy Angel Photography, is proof that every cloud has a silver lining! Here’s Brandy to tell us more:
Chris Pharr, a 25 year old diesel mechanic and cattle farmer, and Kaitlin Pharr, a 25 year old staff accountant, were friends through high school. During freshmen year of college Chris asked Kaitlin on their first date. It was on that date that Chris and Kaitlin realized how completely different they were, but that only made them fall for each other even faster. Kaitlin and Chris dated for five years before Chris popped the question. It was an intimate and spontaneous proposal, where Chris asked Kaitlin to marry him on his family farm at dusk.
See more after the cut!
Chris and Kaitlin were engaged for less than 6 months before the big day. They wanted their forever to begin as soon as possible! The couple wanted a wedding that intertwined both their personalities and to really reflect their love for one another. An elegant wedding with just a touch of rustic was perfect for this farm boy and his princess. They chose Fair Weather Farms in Monroe, Georgia as the setting for their wedding ceremony and reception, they were even able to include their beloved pug, Izzy, in the ceremony.
The couple encountered an unexpected twist as it ended up raining on their wedding day but this created an even more beautiful setting. The rain was actually a blessing to the couple, and created a unique story that made their wedding day that much more amazing. The excitement and love the couple share was contagious to everyone in the room. The couple was inspired by a French country theme, and used vintage handkerchiefs, candles, and lavender roses for the final touches.
The ceremony was held in the lodge in front of a rustic wall of windows overlooking a big beautiful oak tree, with the rain coming down in the background. The reception was held in a rustic wooden pavilion lit by candle light. Beautiful floral arrangements of various purples surrounded the tables and the rain on the tin roof was the perfect accompaniment for the evening. Each place setting consisted of an eclectic vintage china plate with silverware rolled in vintage napkin.
The guests enjoyed dinner and an array of desserts that included a pie bar, wedding cake, and all the groom’s favorite cakes made special for him by his grandmother. Kaitlin said, “The night was even more magical than I could have ever imagined. It truly was the best day of our lives”. The wedding came together perfectly to create the French country fairytale the couple had dreamed of.
