Kalispell, in Northwestern Montana, is a popular destination wedding spot for those who enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of nature. Cherry orchards grow along the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Glacier National Park, one of the top ten most visited national parks, is just a short distance from the airport. The towns of Whitefish and Bigfork offer unique shopping, art galleries, and world class dining. Wedding guests can enjoy a variety of activities during their visit including hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, or fishing.

Wedding photographers in the area range from $2,500 to $4,500, this usually includes two photographers and digital images. Eloping in Glacier National Park is also very popular, and can make for some breathtaking photos at a more economical price. Elopement packages start around $500 and go up to $2,000.

The height of wedding season is July through September. Because of the short season, popular photographers and venues will book up most Saturdays in July and August over a year in advance. Lodging during those months also fills up fast, so plan ahead if you have a large guest list.
