It was a real pleasure working with Nicole Coppack / Behind the Curtain Events. We had originally tried to plan our wedding on our own within about a 5-6 month timeframe. As one can imagine, we were pretty overwhelmed.
After speaking with several wedding planners, we were pleasantly surprised to speak with Nicole, who immediately understood our vision for an eclectic wedding - mixing cultures, personalities and tastes. She also had a very natural ability to put us at ease, make helpful suggestions, and point out some opportune areas where we could save money. That was all in the first couple of conversations.
Over the course of the wedding planning, Nicole also provided us with helpful outlines and schedules to keep us on track. She stayed in constant contact, and would remind us of important decisions and/or payments that had to be made. She, for the most part, took over our day-to-day vendor communications, which helped us limit our time spent to making priority decisions. It was a HUGE help, and time-saver for us. She came to meet our venue coordinator with us to do a final walk-through, help make the final decisions, as well as note any follow-ups that were required.
The days leading up to and on the day of, she was truly an amazing partner. She kept us organized and free from our own anxieties. All we had to do was enjoy the family, friends and special moments. We didn't have to think about anything, just be present. We had a wonderful experience with Nicole, and highly recommend working with her if you are so lucky. Our only regret is not having called her sooner!
I cannot say enough good things about Nicole and my experience with Behind the Curtain Events. My fiance and I were planning our New York wedding from California, and could not have done it without the help and patience that Nicole provided. Scheduling appointments, researching vendors, coordinating details, creating an overall aesthetic, we were supported at every level. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and every bit as beautiful as we could have hoped for. Behind the Curtain Events was a huge part of that and we're so thankful they were a part of it.
