Choosing a wedding planner is different than selecting other vendors. We communicate with our couples on a weekly, sometimes daily basis for months on end and often we're involved with personal aspects of their life, so we think it's important to offer personalized service.
At Lovely, we build partnerships with our clients and prioritize open communication, starting with your quote.
No wedding is ever the same and every couple has varying needs and capabilities. We don't believe in boxing couple's into packages.
We offer a selection of services and support as a starting point, but ultimately work with you to build a custom proposal tailored to your needs.

Kristen & Lovely Event Planning were invaluable and made our wedding day perfect in every way - they were no doubt the best hire we made for our wedding! Jen was so amazing with helping me plan my wedding day. I used her for both wedding day and rehearsal dinner. I live in North Carolina and Jen helped me set up meetings with vendors when I was in town and with setting up phone calls or video conferences when I could not be in town.My wedding day was so amazing and stress-free. Jen and the team decorated so well that the venue looked even better than I could have imagined.
Jen is a visionary! As an event planner myself, I wanted to work with someone I could trust and who I knew would bring my dream wedding to life. I didn't want to worry about a thing and know that the person designing my wedding would think of all the "what ifs" and see the opportunities to make my wedding day that much more special. And Jen did just that!
Jen seamlessly (and what seemed like effortlessly) executed every detail to perfection. I felt as though I was working with a teammate, a friend, the entire time. From the minute we met I knew Jen would be able to find the common thread in my barrage of ideas and design the most beautiful, elegant, New York in Fall wedding (with just enough white but all the pops of color!).
Jen is a true partner and will give care to all of the things you deem important. She will go above and beyond and ensure every ball stays afloat. Jen isn't shy to share her expertise to help guide you to a decision (as we all know we brides think we know best) while staying respectful of opinions and desires. This is what you NEED in a planner.
I wish I could post a picture with this review because you could see my reaction as I entered the room for the first time with my husband and I'm making the perfect symbol with my hands!

Jen and the team at Lovely were everything I needed (as an event person myself!) throughout our entire wedding planning process.
They were creative, thoughtful, available, resourceful and of course, respectful of my budget. The entire process was beyond smooth and beyond FUN because Jen was ALWAYS calm and on top of everything. I can truly say Jen was always there to listen to my ideas and help me bring them to life. (She also did an amazing job at working with my mom and my husband's mom too! Whew!)
She truly made the day everything I ever dreamed of.

Initially I was unsure if we needed a wedding planner and Kristen was open and honest that I could manage on my own but clearly outlined the services she would provide as our day-of-coordinator. When we decided to move forward, we did not realize how much we truly needed Kristen and how beneficial she would be both in the coming months and especially on our wedding day!
She proved to be so much more than a day of coordinator and went above and beyond our expectations to proactively call and confirm all our vendors months in advance, and stayed in touch with us throughout the entire process. I quickly came to value her expert opinion and trust her to get things done and help make my vision come to life. Kristen is extremely well organized, very responsive, and took care of every little detail we asked and many more we would not have known to ask - now we can’t imagine our wedding without her!
I felt so relaxed on my wedding day all because of her and I really cannot thank her enough! We’ve already recommended Kristen and her team to our good family friends and would highly recommend her to anyone else looking to get married!
We hired Kristen as our day-of coordinator for our wedding this past July. She was very helpful along the way. I really appreciated her down-to-earth approach. She's sensible and will lay out the pros and cons in various situations to help you come to a decision. Her knowledge is vast and she asks the right questions to make sure everything is accounted for. At our wedding, Kristen was there to make sure everything went smoothly. She assisted with the transitions from the field, to the barn, to the tent, and ensured that our vision was carried out. I'm sure she did a lot behind the scenes, and my bridesmaids told me that Kristen magically appeared when they needed her. Hiring her was one of the best decisions as it took all the wedding day stress off my shoulders and allowed me to truly enjoy the moment. Know that she will go above and beyond to make sure you are a happy client!
Kristen is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Her attention to detail is crazy, her ideas are sensationally creative and her positivity is contagious. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with Kristen. She planned our entire wedding from start to finish with such precision and focus. Every little detail was considered far beyond anything I would have ever thought of myself. As the groom, she assessed the areas that I was interested in being involved at the beginning of the process (music and food) and made sure to include me when appropriate. There were also several points along the way where she encouraged me to get creative and put my own touch on certain aspects of the wedding (e.g. bathroom signage and amenities). She knew when to take control and make decisions and when to solicit feedback. I'd definitely recommend her to my buddies and I'm sure their (future) wives will also be thoroughly satisfied.
From the second I met Kristen I knew I would be in good hands. At the start, Kristen is straightforward and will not promise you anything if your budget does not support it. She creates the right balance of big picture vision (which she’ll make better) and is willing to handle the details to make sure the event comes off effortlessly. Listen, the event will be perfect! But there is more: I valued Kristen for all the things she taught me – how to tackle problems with joy, flawless communication, and negotiation. I’m so keen on Kristen I’ve worked with her more than once. Simply stated: Kristen makes your day better - she’s the best!

Kristen is a consummate event planning professional in every way. She planned several events for us and in every case was proactive, highly organized, took complete ownership, and executed beautifully. Kristen Carro is simple, elegant, beautiful, well spoken and extremely pleasant! My husband & I were looking to plan a wedding and I knew every detail I did not want. But after a few conversations Kristen had the most perfect vision of my wedding all ‘pinned’ up for me to check-in daily.
I never knew she had other clients... when Kristen is on the phone with you, you never feel you’re the lesser client. You ALWAYS feel like THE client!!
She never shot down an idea -- she thoughtfully processed it. You could sense when she didn't particularly care for something and then all of a sudden, it was your original idea just so much better. Kristen always got super excited during those moments. She was happy to help with everything, anything.
I never had to worry about silly petty nonsense like, ‘I haven't heard from her’ or ‘she didn't get back to me fast enough’. She was top notch the whole way. Vendors, florists, who should where this, what to do with this one, etc. She knows everyone and when she doesn't she tracks down the best of the best and then presents options.
She took such wonderful care of myself and my family. After the wedding everyone kept saying ‘Kristen did this, then she did this that and the other thing’. I've never seen my big family learn someone's name so quickly with such love and admiration.
This woman is fully committed to your event, your wedding. The thing that makes her happy is seeing her clients happy.
Kristen Carro is the "type-A" best friend that you always wish you had around to plan your big day! Not only is she incredibly organized, professional and well put together; she also personalizes every client experience. Kristen literally thinks of everything from big scale work permits that are needed to handle an off-site event to the tiniest of decorative details that will make your event sparkle! Kristen is absolutely LOVELY to work with and I highly recommend her for your next event!

Christine Manfredo & Brian Hirschberg were married in July of 2017 at Blooming Hill Farm in Hudson Valley, NY. The couple worked together to create a beautiful summer wedding, filled with endless personal elements that they put together themselves. The groom built the arch for the ceremony and the bride styled the entire wedding and DIY’d most of the details you see!
I grew up in a kitchen surrounded by chefs & hospitality professionals, so it’s no surprise I fell in love with event planning. I started event planning at one of the world’s top media companies and recognizable brands, MTV, where I worked on every kind of event, from planning small, exclusive parties to escorting VIPs down the red carpet at VMAs. It was a truly amazing 5 years of my life and it really helped me build an incredible foundation.
