Rustic Fall Engagement Session
I loved this rustic fall engagement session. We really wanted fall colors, which was not an easy task with the warm fall that we had. I loved the deep reds and other colors that we ended up finding. Some of the best leaves I have ever found, actually! Plus, Jaycee and Tyler are just the sweetest couple. Highschool sweethearts, Jaycee waited while Tyler was gone on a two-year mission for the LDS church… and they’re now getting hitched!

Spiritual Autumn Mountain Wedding
The dramatic Sierra Nevada mountain range in South Lake Tahoe, California was the backdrop for this out-of-this-world wedding. Natives to the area, Jen and Tim chose purple and yellow to complement the season. The color purple is a symbolic representation of the future, the imagination and dreams. The floral arrangements and decor featured yellow and orange Chrysanthemums and sunflowers.
The ceremony was performed by Jen’s best friend and included a sage burning to cleanse and purify, healing crystals and the guests turning to the North, East, South and West to embrace and thank the elements and Mother Nature. There were many original and unique DIY pieces included such as healing crystals as gifts for guests, an area decorated in photos and items of beloved family members whom had past away.

Warm Fall Wedding Tablescape and Pies
We believe the coziness of fall can be found at your wedding reception, and the proof is in the mini blueberry crumble! This delicious dessert can be found at Amanda and Brandon’s wedding at a private residence in Maryland. Their catering focused entirely on comfort food and home cooking, so instead of wedding cake, guests had mini pies!
Our bride Kerry walks elegantly down the aisle on her big day at The Inn at Roops Mill (Westminster, MD) that is bordered with the most adorable little pumpkins on straw bales, adding the perfect hint of warm fall colors to this formal event.
Finally, we have an elegant table setting with a beautiful center arrangement of autumn flowers and vines by Butera the Florist at a fall-inspired photo shoot at the Country Club of York in York, Pennsylvania. Gracing the center of this lovely table is a rustic inspired invitation with deer antlers and textured paper leaning against the arrangement and corresponding rustic-chic dinner menus placed on each plate.

Fall Inspired Wedding Invitations
Persnickety Invitation Studio loves helping brides “fall” in love with the perfect wedding invitation suite, just like these favorite fall-inspired designs we have created for brides.
This custom slender tri-fold invitation printed on kraft paper contains a specialized rounded die-cut to allow the bride and groom’s name to be the first thing guests get excited about when opening their invitation. This style, complete with a “K and K” duogram designed from scratch, was the perfect match for the couple’s elegant-vintage inspired wedding on their family farm.
Pumpkins are not reserved only for pies- they can also make an appearance on your invitation suite! Persnickety designed these custom 20th-anniversary invitations with rose gold foil stamped pumpkin printed at the bottom of the invitations, menus, and programs. That’s right. Pumpkins do not only have to be orange!
Finally, we have a sweet kraft invitation, wrapped gently with a piece of genuine burlap and a piece of wheat tucked inside. All of this is secured with a beautiful silver cord and floral buttons. The combination of burlap and wheat adds the perfect finishing touch for a fall wedding!

Pumpkin Floral Wedding Centerpiece
Megan and David truly had a fall themed wedding when they wed on October 9th at the stunning Breaux Vinyards. Lots of dark red hues and just the right amount of pumpkins and fall elements. It was an elegant affair that was perfectly captured by the amazing Kelly Ewell with florals by Bergerons.

Fall Wedding Favor Idea for Guests
Sarah and Alessandro got married at the beginning of Autumn and they chose the Italian Alps setting for their wedding, the Piedmonts Alps that are the natural frame of Lake Maggiore. The couple love nature and they chose a jar of organic honey as the wedding favor for all their guests.
At the beginning of the Autumn, here in Italy, there is the new production of honey after the summer harvest. There are many different tastes of honey, but they chose local honey Millefiori delle Alpi. The jars were personalised with a label with wedding date, names of bride and groom and the pictures of wedding rings and the packaging was made with jute, a natural fiber, and a lilac ribbon (the colour of their wedding). It was a warm sunny and sweet day.

Autumn Leaves, Foliage and Wedding Cake
Peak fall colors enveloped Courtney and Paul’s October wedding in the Hudson Valley, NY. They perfectly complimented the fall foliage with pops of lavender and violet details, from the bridesmaid dresses to their bouquets. As they strolled the grounds at Round Hill, They ended the night with a beautifully decorated wedding cake along with a 7 layer groom’s cake.

Romantic Fall Elopement in the Mountains
Elopements are an ever-growing trend that, in my opinion, truly captures the romance and love between a bride and groom. And what’s more romantic than a rich color palette full of bold burgundies, pops of pink and deep greens?
This hidden elopement for two, followed by a dreamy picnic is a perfect reflection of all that the fall months in the mountains have to offer. With the combination of gorgeous deep colors, towering pine trees, and the rich glow of the autumn sun who wouldn’t want to escape the wedding to-do’s and have a weekend elopement for two?!

Shannon and Jacob held a beautiful vintage rustic country wedding at Thistle Springs Ranch in Cleburne, Texas. They had a gorgeous outdoor Fall ceremony that really celebrated their love for one another and the Fall season. Warm Apple Cider and Snuggly Blankets
Maple Rock Farm is one of those properties that is beautiful no matter what the season. But I must say it is exceptionally amazing in the Fall! Julia and Peter took advantage of all the gorgeous character Maple Rock Farm has to offer for their October wedding. An old farmhouse, tall maple trees, stone walls, an apple orchard and a HUGE barn!
We also loved the warm apple cider and snuggly blankets set out for guests to enjoy during the ceremony. It was a photographers dream! But, with it being October in Maine you never know what you will get for weather and let’s just say it was a little chilly for their big day (freezing cold with a snow flurry later that night!). But looking at Julia and Peter you would never know.
They were so happy to finally be getting married and celebrating with all their family and friends. They could hardly take their eyes off each other all night long and the way Peter snuggled his new wife in close to keep her warm just made you smile. These two are just so happy to be together. Just as simple as that.

Family Farm Wedding with Harvest Backdrop
A wedding takes all kinds of help to plan, but a wedding on a family farm is a big undertaking. It was so fun to see the barn change each time I saw it. Even the groom got his hands dirty and helped lay the mulch (he did lots of other things too). As we were driving to their farm I saw many machines cutting down the corn husks and I was worried. But when I arrived on the farm I saw that the farmer left plenty of rows for ceremony photos which made the perfect backdrop to Olivia and Hal’s love story.

Pumpkin-Styled Wedding Cake + Ring Bearer
Emily & Hayden had a beautiful fall inspired wedding. From their centerpieces to their cake all the way to the little pumpkin that the ringbearer carried down the aisle all had touches of fall styling. When it came to the dress detail shot I knew I had to keep in line with the fall wedding theme. I took the dress outside to a lovely maple tree with fallen leaves all around. It made for the perfect detail giving them a cohesive theme throughout their wedding photos.

Relaxed Autumn Winery Wedding
These photos were taken earlier this Fall in South Western Ontario at a local Winery. The couple had an afternoon outdoor ceremony on the water followed by a lunch indoors on the property. We slipped out after lunch to capture this photo of the two of them relaxed by the water. The flower bouquet incorporated lovely oranges, white and purple flowers which complemented the day perfectly. The wedding arch was just perfect with the beautiful large floral arrangements tying it all together.

Fall Inspired Wedding Bouquet
This image is of Kelley’s gorgeous fall inspired bouquet by Sugarfield Flowers. Kelley wanted a bouquet that was unique and different and that tied in the colors of fall and this bouquet did just that! Kelley and Jeff got married this September at The Allure in LaPorte, Indiana. Jeff asked Kelley for her hand in marriage on February 13, 2016 at one of their go-to restaurants, Bella Vita. He proposed out by the frozen lake.

DIY Fall Inspired Wedding Tablescape
De and Connor were married in the FEAST at Round Hill gardens in late September, just as the leaves began to turn in the Hudson Valley. Their beautiful fall themed wedding details were DIY, including their pumpkin lined aisle, handmade centerpieces, complete with leaf decorated candles, and Boston themed table numbers, the place where they first met.

Fall Engagement Shoot Tips
We love the changing colours of Fall! Why not choose a location for your engagement shoot that is going to best utilise all of the amazing, colourful scenery? Also, as the temperature drops, remember to dress up warm. Not only is this a practical point, but everyone looks amazing cozied up in warm jumpers and snuggly knitwear.
As the summer months can be so busy for photographers, Fall is the perfect time for photographers and couples to relax and get to know each other in the long, lazy evenings. As many of our couples get married in the summer, having an engagement shoot in the Fall provides a great contrast to the summer wedding shots they will get.

Homemade Pies, Golden Leaves and Fall Foliage
Joanna and Josh were married in late October at Maple Rock Farm in Parsonsfield, Maine. The rain on their wedding day didn’t stop the couple from enjoying their celebration to the fullest. Beer taps, a s’mores cart, and homemade pies?! Joanna and Josh’s wedding was full of special treats, lots of laughs, and tons of love. The golden leaves had blown off the trees making for the most gorgeous blanket of fall foliage on the lawn. So much personality was infused into their day and it showed in every last detail.

Protea Bouquet and Autumnesque Sweetheart Table
Danielle and Drew tied the knot at Kiawah Island’s gorgeous waterfront wedding venue, Mingo Point. This fall wedding left everyone speechless and swooning as golden hour perfectly shined on the newlyweds under their draped flower-covered arbor in front of the most breathtaking marsh view.
We could not have fallen more in love with Danielle’s unique protea-filled bouquet, and their sweetheart table captured the beautiful autumn weather with dusty rose velvet armchairs and the linen’s floral hues. These two did it just right, and we think they are just the perfect fall inspiration!

Quintessential Autumn Day in New York City
Annie and Daniel were married on the 8th of October, a quintessentially autumn day in New York City. The rainy backdrop did not stop the sun from shining on their beautiful Manhattan ceremony, topped off by a walk through Central Park’s greenery. The bride wore curls to match her ruffled dress and is beaming next to her groom!
