Today’s fun styled shoot comes to us from Barbara of AvantGarde Design. (You may remember Barbara from our recent invitation feature and interview.) Here’s a bit about the inspiration and talent behind the shoot:
Marisa at Sassy Mouth Photography & Anna from Country Girl Collections had some great ideas to do Princess Bride Styled Photo Shoots… and so now here we are…
See more lovely photos after the cut!
The Little Mermaid styled shoot is fourth in our Disney Princess Bride Series. You can view our past styled shoots here (thanks to Sassy Mouth for blogging all of these) – SnowWhite, which was featured on The Connecticut Bride, Rapunzel, and Cinderella.
This was by far one of my favorite photo shoots and hope you enjoy it just as much as we all did. No details were spared at this photo shoot, beautiful décor, unique confetti, hair, makeup, jewelry and paper goods, it surely was a magical time from beginning to end. See all the amazing photos captured below by Marisa @ Sassy Mouth Photography.
Let’s talk about the details:
Hair by Kelly at That Girl – created luscious curls in our model’s gorgeous red hair, while Jen from All Dolled up worked her magic and made our model look stunning with natural make up and her eyes sure popped!
Love Colorful/The Confetti Bar – handmade Ariel’s dress and set up a gorgeous Confetti & Champagne Bar – seriously a glittered out champagne bottle – love it!
Anna from Country Girl Collections brought this amazing trunk, dresser and tables and with some fresh flowers, starfish, seashells and netting she made these pieces look stunning!
The paper goods were created by AvantGarde Design with gorgeous paper from Envelopments. When it came to designing the invitation suite and other paper goods, we turned to the characters, theme and details throughout the movie. We utilized a warm orange/deep red paper which represented Ariel’s hair, Caspian blue paper for the water, white linen for the clouds and Kraft paper for the sand, a deep blue and orange font throughout to make the colors stand out and pop. Anchors were used on pieces as well as fun and catchy phrases. These are some great ideas to utilize if you do a “nautical” inspired wedding. Other signs for the champagne and confetti bar were also created by Jessica (Confetti Bar) and Barbara (AvantGarde Design) together.
SissyCakes baked up this wonderful cake and definitely gave it the mermaid features it needed.
…and to capture all this beauty and help make the magic happen – Marisa from Sassy Mouth Photography.
I am always so amazed at how incredibly talented all these individuals are, and I’m honored to be included in these wonderful photo shoots. Great people, great times.
