This unabashedly glamorous tablescape come to us from Renée Hollingshead Photography based in Baltimore, MD! Here’s more about the inspiration behind the shoot and the talented team that pulled it all together:
When wedding planner, Hana Pugh, came up with the concept for this inspiration shoot, she had a vision of a swanky dinner party hosted by a chic couple. The dinner would take place immediately after their evening wedding ceremony. She loves the combination of glitzy sequins and lush feathers, but she knew that a stylish couple would want a design that sets them apart from the standard feathered centerpieces.
See more after the cut!
So, she incorporated the feathered placemats and pillows in aquamarine from Z Gallerie, and partnered them with the clean lines of armless ghost chairs. Every single detail from this striking shoot was nothing short of perfection and it was captured brilliantly by photographer Renee Dickerson. The shoot took place in the Mahogany Room at the hip Hotel Madera. This boutique hotel is an intimate wedding venue located in Washington DC’s Dupont Circle neighborhood.
Hana curated the gorgeous details, while showcasing the Mahogany Room’s floor-to-ceiling windows and the large balcony – perfect for a midnight toast. Speaking of toasts, Hana added a little “DIY” to the shoot by embellishing mini bottles of Prosecco with silver and turquoise glitter. Each bottle was adorned with a glitzy hang tag, designed by LePenn Designs, encouraging dinner guests to “Pop the Bubbly!” As if one needs encouragement to do that! This stylish tablescape wouldn’t be complete without the modern elegance of white phaleanopsis orchids and creamy white roses, so Janet Flowers created a collection of tall and low arrangements nestled in sleek silver and glass vases.
The idea behind this beautiful shoot is to encourage couples to consider fun and unique ways to showcase well-used design elements. Feathers don’t have to be white to be chic; there is no such thing as too much glitz; and champagne makes the perfect appetizer! Hana said this shoot was such an incredible experience and she was so fortunate to have worked with so many talented people. They helped her bring that glitzy dinner party to life!
